What Is Performance Anxiety?
Performance Anxiety
Performance anxiety, often called "stage fright," is a psychological condition where an individual experiences intense fear or nervousness about performing in front of others. Common in musicians, actors, athletes, and public speakers, it can cause symptoms like sweating, shaking, rapid heartbeat, and mental blocks, leading to impaired performance.
This anxiety stems from a fear of negative judgment, failure, or not meeting self-imposed standards. Despite being a normal response to pressure, performance anxiety can become debilitating, hindering a person's ability to perform comfortably and confidently.
While there are multiple techniques to help manage performance anxiety, such as deep breathing and visualization, Greg’s integrative approach gets to the root of the issue to make permanent change. He will help you transform your psychology and reprogram your brain for confident, joyful, free-flowing performances.
